5. Google Calendar Sync
User Data
When you connect your Google Calendar to Monna via the Calendar Sync feature, Monna accesses limited Google Account data through Google's OAuth 2.0 consent flow. This section explains exactly what data we access and how we handle it, in compliance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Data Accessed
Monna requests a single OAuth scope: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events.readonly. Through this scope, Monna reads only:
Events from your primary Google Calendar (event title, date, time, location, description, and attendees if listed on the event)
The email address associated with the Google Account you connected (used to display the connection status inside the app)
Monna does NOT request, access, or store: contacts, Gmail messages, Drive files, calendar list metadata, calendar settings, or any other Google data.
Data Usage
Calendar event data is used solely to display your Google events inside the Monna app, alongside any events you create directly in Monna. This provides a unified view of your full schedule. Monna performs incremental sync using Google's syncToken mechanism to keep displayed events current without redundant API calls.
Monna does NOT use Google user data for advertising, profiling, machine-learning training, or any purpose unrelated to the Calendar Sync feature you opted into.
Data Sharing
Monna does NOT sell, rent, or transfer Google user data to any third party.
Calendar event data is stored in our backend infrastructure provided by Supabase, which acts as a data processor under our control (not as an independent third-party recipient). Supabase does not access your data for its own purposes.
Monna does NOT share your Google user data with advertising networks, data brokers, individual-level analytics providers, or any party outside the operations of providing the Monna service.
Data Storage and Protection
All data is stored in our Supabase database, encrypted at rest using AES-256.
All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS / TLS 1.2 or higher.
Row-level security (RLS) policies in our database restrict each user's data to that user only — no other Monna user can access your synced calendar events.
OAuth access tokens issued by Google are managed by the Google Sign-In SDK on your device. We do not store long-lived refresh tokens server-side.
Data Retention and Deletion
Synced calendar events are retained for as long as your Google Calendar connection is active and your Monna account exists.
You can disconnect your Google Calendar at any time from Monna's Settings → Calendar Sync → Disconnect. Disconnecting immediately stops any further reads of your Google Calendar.
You can request full deletion of your Monna account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at support@monna.ai or by using the in-app account deletion option. Account deletion removes all synced calendar events and disconnects your Google account from Monna within 30 days of request.
You can also revoke Monna's access from your Google Account directly at any time at: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions
Compliance with Google API Services User Data Policy
Monna's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
6. Data Storage & Security
All data is stored securely on Supabase servers in the United States
Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
